yknow, ive never been a hater of rape in mangas, because, although it's obviously a bad thing to do, it's usually never the main premise of the story so i'm able to look past it. but OOF, this previous chapter really annoyed me for some reason? i think besides the fact that the chapter was short and did not include a resolve to the dysfunctional, rape-y relationship, the real problem with this for me is that i just realized how terribly cliche this was. i'm angry because i spent time reading this chapter that had virtually no unique parts. i'm angry that these incredible people with the cutest dog had to spend time translating this terrible chapter. i'm angry that i was looking forward to something that held so much disappointment!! i'm angry that so many other manga plots include rape without a resolve or even one mention to how bad rape is!
and i get it. these mangakas work so hard on these stories, and, sure, sometimes they run out of ideas or just need that extra chapter. i should appreciate the art and the yaoi. but, for the same reasons i stopped reading fanfics on wattpad, i can't help but feel like it could have been better. that even just a fluffy chapter about, like, them hugging or doing domestic shit would have been ten times better than what i just read.

It was a great chapter, it was long, and the rape or forced intercourse can be hot. It shows you the real personality of the character. You'd think Ayumi was a bottom, the smile, the shyness. No, with that scene you see a different side of him. It's hard to make that personality switch in a manga where you still want the character to be sweet and innocent without him looking like the typical ass behind closed doors. This was great, and just because you don't like it, does not mean others don't. So don't bash others work, simply don't read it. Thanks....
this was my opinion!! i just wanted to share it!! and the main story was decent, so i read the recent one because i wanted to see what happened!! i couldn't have somehow known that i would not like the chapter before i read it, lmao.
also, actually, there's SO many mangas with that EXACT plot. with the shy, quiet and submissive looking guy becoming the seme, and the guy that looks like a clear seme being the uke. but, other mangas are able to incorporate other things in as well to make the plot more interesting. i know it was an extra chapter and therefore there may not have been much space to include more and/or there wasn't much time to make it, but i just think that instead of trying to create something unique out of an already cliche plot wasn't the smartest idea, when instead they could have included a deep or even just slightly humorous extra!

No, not tiring. Anime and manga is virtually all kind of the same. You need a base to work with when creating a story. You have to watch the story flourish, and this manga is doing that. Slowly but surely. And maybe that traditional sex scene is what keeps others reading. That most likely why others take their time to read the story. For moments when they are vulnerable (the character).
you're right w/ the base to start with. and i agree; all mangas and animes and stories in general all start from the same vague point. but this chapter was literally JUST the vague point. where was the flourish? why couldn't the author have just continued the main story, which had an obvious flourish? they could have made just a side chap if they wanted to, i think everyone would have appreciated that more. it's like: imagine if you read a story that was about a girl who was 'special', and had to save the world. that was it, the whole story, there was no defining characteristics to her or any diverse plot lines. sure, she had different looks than other girls in other stories, and there were different bad guys and different guys thirsting over her, but other than that, there was basically no difference. wouldn't!! that!! be!! annoying?? and disappointing to read??
i understand your point- maybe the next chapter will have something more interesting in store for us. BUT, i'm pretty sure that was it. there will be no continuing chapter to make the story more interesting, as the end of ch. 4 had an 'end', whereas it would have a 'tbc' if it were to be continued.
so, if ya think of it as that one chapter literally being the only chapter we get, isn't it at least a //bit// disappointing? and im pretty sure most of the people who also read it would agree with me, lmao.

That's your opinion. Rape is bad yes, but manga and anime is different. It isnt real, you are imposing realistic views on a cartoon/drawing. The feelings you want portrayed is something realistic. You must remeber that a story is whatever the creator makes it to be. But just because you dont like something doesnt mean the plot isnt enjoyable for others. That's why it's your opinion.
