I really like Psyche and Medea having conflicting views because I think they complement each other and together they can reach a nice equilibrium. I also like Psyche standing by her beliefs and expressing her opinions instead of agreeing with Medea in everything as she used to do with Eros. I think she can be more honest and true to herself when she is with Medea, instead of being a submissive girl as she was with the prince. This means that while she holds Medea in high regard, she does not idealize her to the point of seeing her as a deity or a savior that she can never question (Helios, instead, does seem to see Medea as Psyche used to see Eros). I also like Medea having someone that can balance her out and disagree with her sometimes, instead of having an absolute loyal person that follows her every command without questioning anything. I think their relationship is healthier this way.
