No that's not it. He wants to leave to get away from his alpha and the baby. But since the alpha is from a well known family he thought that they gave the baby away because there was no news about the alpha having a child. But than again I could be wrong but I'm kinda right. I know that.

At the very beginning he wasn’t ready for the whole pregnancy thingy but hi friend commented about what he will do if the baby was born, knowing his whole past and hia current status there is no way he can be a good parent to the child which gave him the idea of making the contract (but he wasn’t really that serious about the money as he did not think about it after he gave birth) but rather he wanted to leave the baby to someone who wanted the baby and had a good status which was dojin.
When he knew that dojin wanted to give the baby to hye (which he heard wrong) he escape so that he can’t Dojin won’t do it, later he remembers that dojin is from a wealthy family and thought maybe they threw the baby but deep inside he really knows Dojin won’t do it ( which why he saying “ you weren’t that person, or weren’t you” )
Hye does care about the child but he ain’t confident that the child can have a good life with him, he won’t be dead worry about that kid being thrown if he is not, he is just hard to understand because everything in his mind is also jumbled
And maybe he wanted to leave because he wanted a new start and re-new his status so he can find the baby if it was thrown away.
