EDIT: I'm not trying to be rude. I just keep getting placeholders instead of updates. I'm not sure if mine just shows wrong. Yes the previous chapter was new. But it takes like 5 or more placeholder notifications before a chapter update.
The chapter bevor the placeholder is updated every time a New placeholder comes (sorry for my poor english)

the uploader replaced the previous placeholder with the resspective chapter. so even if it seems you have read the chapter, you might have not and it just shows that way. Usually uploader only post another placeholder when they replaced the previous one with a chapter.
