Had this on hold for far too long, so i ended up binge reading this the past 2 days from the start. Plot aside, I love how complex all the characters are in this, you can hate or love them but they all have their flaws and the people around them all have different views, its amazingly well written.
Shuli and Jeremy are my beloved favorite characters in this, I adore them and especially Jeremy's character development. Is it weird that I hate them as a romantic pairing but they are still my favorite relationship in this series so far? Every time he calls her "little mother" I melt.. that part where he says whether she is a mother, a sister, or a guardian she is still his most precious family.
The upcoming arc is going to be heartbreaking with the "scandal" surfacing. Especially because Jeremy choosing his love for her as a family being way more important than romantic, and doesnt even let himself consider it in his subconsciousness and now its being fabricated and his worst fears about ruining her honor coming true, im not ready aaaaaa

I'LL IMPRISON YOU IN THE ROYAL PALACE... but its because im making a city where its safe for women to live in so wait until then.
I'LL THREATEN YOU WITH YOUR FAMILY... thats because you're also threatening me with your life and its the only way to keep you safe
TAKING MY CLOTHES OFF TO SEDUCE YOU
... Rupert???

The only story where it makes sense for the ML to kill the FL in past life. They were strangers in their past life. Her family committed treason. And she was the main reason for it, and there is way to reasonably believe she didn't want to? like?? she had claim to the throne. And so Rupert just offed her with her family like every other nobles who would commit treason.
This made me uncomfortable, probably because I liked Rei too much, it felt cheating. I understand the whole point of this was that "I love you Rei, and because of that I love all your personalities" But it shouldn't have led to sex, especially because Rei himself felt betrayed :
