In my understanding, the second couple is the grandparents of the first couples top, since their 8 children are the fairies in the 1st story. And the dog that accompanied gahng is perhaps a new character, another divine spirit much like bumryeong before he turned human.

The fairies had kids with humans (the dude living in the mountain in 1st couple and the fairy sister who crashed their house). When she was picked up, it was dark-skinned guy who came. I think he panicked because he's not supposed to be seen, which is why he quickly changed to his dog form

I think it's not today's news to see different outcomes in adapting novels into manhwas/manhuas/mangas. Sure it's quite disappointing if it won't fall exactly as it is in the original but guys, novels are far more detailed and more in depth, simply because it is a novel. If you would adapt all the scenarios in the manhwa will be a lot longer and I'm sure you don't want that. I think they are doing a great job putting it in the adaptation. As a nonreader of novel sure I don't get what you feel, but I do enjoy reading this so much.
Let's just not put too much expectations especially if it's from a novel. It's very hard to put everything guys. Let's just be happy that our favorite novel got the chance to have this adaptation. Surely I will agree if this manhwa ruins the original work but no, I genuinely enjoy reading this. I truly am.
