Ofc Nagi will come back bc why else would we see him that much after the end of the finals and u know, he's got so much potential. But Ego won't accept him back in the team for sure... So maybe there'll be some type of rival Japan team or wtv but I think we'll have to wait a decade guys

Maybe for contrast with Isagi. Nagi is a protagonist too. 2 MCs wit different paths.
Isagi used to be average, Nagi was always a genius. Isagi changed and choosed the path of egoist, victory, power blah blah blah, but Nagi was depended on Reo, and his goal wasn't to be no. 1 as ego wanted. And maybe in episode Nagi we will see his life after BL, and that the live goes on.

yeah I agree, I really hope Ego doesn't come back on his words (I doubt he will) but idk if the author will actually leave Nagi out forever. Since lame characters like the bald monk guy lasted for so long u know, feels kind of "surreal" that Nagi won't be apart of the picture anymore ! But honestly, if it's the case, it only makes the story more solid and promising. We tired of comebacks in every shonen manga

i think there’s something that needs to be highlighted: as you may know after reading all those chapters, blue lock isn’t just about survival. it’s about transformation. i’m not saying that he will return for sure because once again, we’re just readers, we can’t do more than speculate BUT if nagi were to return, it wouldn’t break the system, it would challenge it and… that’s what ego lives for.
if nagi hits bottom, loses his spark, and rebuilds a new version of himself, isn’t that exactly what ego wants? sure, for now nagi is constrasting isagi, but imo, not without a purpose. it really feels like an investment. (+ that "continue?3" game screen panel at the end of the recent chapter)
from what we know, bluelock isn’t a clean "eliminated = gone forever" story (+ a comeback already happened once. maybe it was the only time it happened, maybe it’s not. but still, it did happen.) it’s a story about ego, identity, and reinvention. and people who fall the hardest often have the most explosive returns (if they choose to get up) and as we can see, nagi hasn’t chosen yet ("continue?3" screen panel) and i think that kaneshiro is showing us that moment on purpose.
so yeah, reading bluelock too literally might be misunderstanding what kind of story kaneshiro is telling. (i have read all of his other works, he’s a very good writer and he knows a lot about narration processes, more particularly the "chekhov's gun" that, i think, he’s using a lot right now.)
I STILL MIGHT BE WRONG. but i’m convinced that the way nagi is written right now means he’s far from being done. (even bluelock main story is far from being done, kaneshiro might pull a one piece 2.0 bahaha so we have the time the see and experience a lot of plot twists.)

Sorry if I misunderstood something, I got lost even after reading it twice.
Anyway I don't want him to be gone either and sure hope we'll see his development, just not something expected, bc with Kunigami, he returned emotionless, emo = perfect contrast to his optimistic, big bro energy. And the contrasts BL is full of contrasts and how it's different from the traditional ,,I'm gonna be the best" type of story.
But who should be the new Nagi? Super super motivated, full of energy and totally independent dude with I'm gonna be tho no. 1 alone? I'm sure you can think of platy of reasons wha whis wouldn't work.
I just don't think this type of character development would suit the type of character that he is. I'm sure his story is not over, we still have episode Nagi after all, but hope his story will be someting that won't make me face palm.

that’s actually exactly it though, a nagi’s transformation? i think nagi needs to find his own motivation, not because of reo, not because of beating isagi, not because it’s fun, but because he wants to be the best striker in the world deep inside him, because he wants to be the best until the end just like any other bluelock player. he needs to find his own ego (which he lacks now so it’s a perfect contrast to the current nagi he is. he doesn’t need to change his whole personality like kunigami or maybe he needs to. either way, if he’s coming back, he needs to find his ego one way or another. leaving something behind maybe? reinventing himself? the possibilities are endless. and what makes this all the more interesting is that for the first time ever, nagi is alone. not with reo, not with isagi but totally alone, totally by himself. by himself with a choice to make. by himself with an ego that waits for him to decide if he’ll develop it or not. by himself with a fire he alone can lit — not like before, waiting for someone to lit that fire for him — and here is the contrast in his development you might be looking for.) i don’t get why this wouldn’t work.
i bet a nagi who tries hard, who finds a fire within himself only would be so goated. and bluelock isn’t about leaving a character with so much potential just for contrast purposes. (in stories — and more particularly stories about identities and reinvention — contrasts & parallels always come with an ulterior motive, with an investment, with a character development.) so of course, it feels like there is a lot of foreshadowing from kaneshiro.
but then again, we don’t know what kaneshiro prepared, maybe you’re right and nagi won’t change and never come back. we don’t know, we can only speculate. it’s not like i particularly want nagi to come back as a player, i’m fine with him giving up on soccer BUT the more the manga is getting updated, the more it just feels like he won’t. everything in the new chapters screams that he won’t. so maybe kaneshiro is just playing with us? yes, maybe. but still, if he’s cooking a new nagi, i bet it would be unexpected and amazing. kaneshiro knows how to write amazing characters and for now, it really feels like nagi is in his downfall era, not ending era. downfall comes with explosive returns.
oh and by the way, the spin-off "episode nagi" is ending in august, in 3 chapters. it means that if nagi doesn’t come back as a player, he won’t get more content after bluelock in episode nagi. which means that "showing what it feels like living with shattered dreams and coping with the feeling of lost" is not a good enough reason for so much contrast with isagi. BUT ending episode nagi now might either mean it’s just totally the end for nagi (but then, why he’s leaving so many chapters with question marks? is kaneshiro really just playing with us?) or it means he’s having the rest of his story development as a player in bluelock main story. since the NEL arc had a lot of nagi and reo moments in the main story, it might feel redundant showing those things again in episode nagi. but yeah, episode nagi is coming to a close, so no more nagi content if he’s not back in the main story as a player.

Since when were Jiwoo and the CEO girl dating??? guys we were stolen of great scenes..

Um no. In 172 Jisuk said they were bc he needed a quick excuse to discourage the Patrick family proposal. Up till 330 we seen Jiwoo slowly realize his feelings for Jiyoung but that was it. It was seemingly out of nowhere they’re suddenly dating even if they were getting closer. That’s why we feel like we’re missing something (like a chapter that confirms their feelings and even they ask each other out)

But now I’m thinking with a careful eye lol b/c it’s possible in 331 that Jiyoung meant officially she’s KNOWN as his gf, but she’s saying that flirtily just to tease him. So it makes sense bc they never officially denied the allegations (even back when Jisuk made it up) since secretly like each other (and it was probably a convenient excuse to keep suitors away. But again, because Jiyoung actually likes him, she’ll definitely tease him given the chance I hope that makes sense. If it was established among his peers I think we’d see comments from his mentor(s) and friends.
they are so…
