Sort of, but it's the other way around with the marks. Every time someone dies, more marks disappear. The guy who brought him back to life forced a deal on him, which was that the mc can keep his body forever in exchange for killing the family, but if he doesn't fulfill his "part", the marks will grow worse and kill him again along with his new body.
