The story went elsewhere a long time ago lol
I don't give a damn about romance but that's all that's been at the center of the characters actions now.
But I felt that way pretty much since Kaneki's escape after facing Arima. I don't mind a sex scene. Touka looked real nice. Felt like Ishida was holding that one in anyway lol. But I just don't feel any involvement with it. Cause that's really not why I started reading Tokyo Ghoul for. I'm not someone who's into ships at all. So great for the shippers but... The CCG turned into such a joke. Eto's out. Arima's out. Amon has Akira in his mind instead of the rights and wrongs of the world he lives in. Kaneki would be the same if not for his role as king.
Romance drama everywhere!
Too bad I really rally couldn't care less about that.

I don't hate but I feel like now I'm among the readers that were in for something else than the ships and got left behind. Because the tension has been so all over the place and the characters that had charisma as antagonists aren't there anymore.
Furuta was fun as a secondary villain that made a mess of things. But imo, he is terrible as the main villain. I don't feel the threat from the CCG at all. Mostly, I pity the investigators. The children soldiers are dangerous but they're tools. I pity them too, being used like that. Not good villains either.
There's V and the clowns but they're always elusive so I don't feel like they're direct threats to Kaneki. They seem focus on something else. What that is, no idea. Doesn't seem like Ishida cares to tell us anymore.
Too much stuff and side characters with uselessly detailed backstories, too messy, main conflict lost. Real threats haven't been active against the protag... My attention has been completely lost is all.

Hahahaha. Is that so?? I dont really mind if its.a.mess tho..well if its stray from a long time ago. I dont care what will happen.. Hahahah. I did not finish the fist tokyo ghoul. Just started with.this one.. Hahahha. And from what ive read it still satisfy me.. I just wish that it has a good ending.. Hahaha
