Criticism not equal to hate . I think many people were turned off by how the mangaka portrayed the rape . I'm predicting that the uke will forgive the seme , and they'll fall in love blah blah blah . I've seen other mangas ( and other art mediums books , songs and visual art ) where rape was portrayed properly , the depth and tone were realistic . Rape being portrayed is not the problem , the problem is romanticising it . Having a rape fetish is not wrong , but romanticising rape is . That is what this manga was doing . I've met people with Rape and Abuse fetishes but even they don't agree with this " fluffy , romantic rape " bs . That is where this manga went wrong , and people pointing out or feeling disgusted that this topic was made light of is not hate .
