Nah I hate this. Hate the way the seme treat the uke. Its just like a rape for me. Then I hate how the uke just forgive the seme eventough I know he's good. The father's actions were 100% rape, not a doubt or question about it. Akihito's actions have more grey area for me. Ryou did love him and even rough sex that is consensual is still consensual. There is also the fact that Akihito was still just a kid. The words and actions he used to keep the one he loved by his side were awkward, dysfunctional and wrong, but considering his upbringing and age, they don't seem as malicious as the father's. Akihito grew up watching his father "own" people. We first learn how to treat others by watching our parents. I'm not saying he did the "right" thing in the way he treated Ryou, more like it was way LESS wrong than what his father was doing and had done for over a decade, apparently. Rape by coercion, which is what both Akihito and his father engaged in, is illegal in most western countries, but it usually boils down to "mens rhea" or intent in the courts. Akihito would likely get off light, if he were punished at all, because his intent lacked malice. The father, however, would have found himself living in a hole under the prison. Not only for rape, but for human trafficking as well. There would also be extenuating circumstances in Akihito's case due to years of emotional and mental abuse by his father. Akihito was just as "owned" by his father as Ryou and Masaya were. Sexual abuse may have been absent in Akihito's case, but the fear and psychological distress created by his father's other abuses were there. To which, Siaga would have made an excellent witness. All of that coupled with Ryou's feelings, confusion and misunderstanding of the situation all make Akihito's actions fall too much into the grey area to throw around terms like rape for me and likely for a court as well.
Um yeah people forgive rapists all the time. It's what victim blamers, like you, tell them to do all the time, after all.
This being rape is okay for me to say out loud. Unlike other posters I can call a spade a spade and still empathize with someone.
