The kiss when Haruka was prepubescent made me cringe, but other than that, this was handled fairly well. They didnt do anything-other than kiss-when haruka was underage, they moved apart to wait until he was legal, etc. Even MC acknowledged how unfortunate it was that his fated pair was so young, and acknowledged how gross his instincts were. Of course, there's leniency with a/b/o because its all about literal instincts that are near impossible to ignore.
Khaol better end up sacrificing himself or smthn, thats the only way he could ever be redeemed.
I want you to realize that River is not the only victim here. Khaol is too. Lari used him by manipulating him into her plan, using Kaveri as the sole reason as to why he should contribute. Killing River was not on his to do list and even though he did he go what he deserved. More sorrow.
Look, the guy was killed along with his lover and he ended grieving over him for YEARS! Now he ends up getting his lover again ON PURPOSE this time. He's suffering already and I don't think he won't ever stop suffering.
Khaol is a victim to Lari, to River’s ancestor who got him killed, and to his feelings for Kaveri that he refuses to let go. Honestly, if he was the main character of the story and Rivee was just some side character the was involved with him once I believe most of us would've felt bad but still be on Khaol’s side.
No, he's far from a victim. Perhaps a victim in the sense of manipulation, but he isnt a victim in the same sense as river. It wasnt river's ancestors fault Khaol was killed-in fact, river's ancestor was more of a victim than khaol, who was doing something illegal knowingly, while the ancestor simply gave a shocked reaction. Just because Khaol grieved over Kaveri doesnt make his plight any worse than river's, and doesnt excuse his actions. He killed river to save someone who didnt want to be saved, who now lives miserably. He allowed himself to be manipulated, killing river for his own selfish desires, cursing rivers entire family to begin with because his ancestor dared make a sound and draw attention. Khaol has admitted it himself-pain makes him stronger, so he likely subconsciously seeks to stirr the pot, to cause himself and others pain. His suffering is innate, without suffering, he'll cease to exist. I dont need to be reminded of what he's gone through, Im already aware. That doesnt shirk him of his responsibility as both a god, and a lover(to both Kaveri and River.)
He wont care about the placement of the mark, will he? When parker marked her, she'd already fallen for him. Unfortunately snake boy rushed things, of course the mark wont be by the heart.
Well, I just saw the next chapter. Quingquing confirms to Curtis that had she not already had a mark on her ankle prior to their mating, that she definitely would have had his mark on her heart afterwards. Basically, she confirmed that though she likes Parker, she loves Curtis the most. Curtis seems to be suffering from an inferiority complex since he said that no other feral has ever had a female have their mark on their heart. But considering how different past feral/female relationships have been, it's understandable.
aw they never addressed them meeting in the past
