Tragically, this has fallen into the trap a lot of these "overpowered underdog" stories end up in, especially any set with rankings/powers. It completely loses the plot around 61-65.
He goes crazy, to an extent that makes little sense to be repairable, with little explaination - and then he is shipped off to America, where they introduce concepts such as a lady inspired by dracula, and killers imitating famous serial killers (jack the ripper. Cliche at this point.)
I thought edeya were supposed to be souls? That it was difficult to channel legends? How has it turned into something similar to omniscient reader's viewpoint, with historical and fictional characters as abilities?
Why did they change the scenery right when things were getting interesting? His uncle went missing, and instead of following that thread, they had him lose his shit and hallucinate his uncle/aunt and kill an innocent combatant.
Just kinda wild.
Still a fun read, but it went from a solid 8.5/9 down to a 6.5/7.
Why do the translations seem to alternate between every chapter gets tricky to remember the names.
Also my lord, mr vampire professor is so fine. I actually cant.
