I don't think that reading yaoi makes you gay. I love girl's love, but I'm not lesbian (I mean, wouldn't hurt to try but I prefer guys) It's just what you like, fuck what they tell you, if you are straight and want to read yaoi, then do it, if you're gay (or any lgbt+) and want to read yaoi, do it.
