It’s getting pretty popular nowadays but basically there’s 2 classifications of people in these stories: espers and guides. Espers are supernatural humans who fight off monsters in the world and have rankings from F to S, s being the highest and very rare to the point where it’s typically one a country. Guides are healers who make physical contact with espers to heal them after they come from battle and are hurt/ exerted their power too much. If espers don’t get “guided” then they take forever to heal and can go on a rampage from using their powers and never healing. Sex isn’t necessary but it’s usually coined the fastest way to heal rather than holding hands or kissing.
