I feel like mc and ml met each other before (alec once told him "you never change" and mc remembered someone with black hair and a hood) and I think alec has been in love with him since then and the love potion just made alec love him more strongly???
also it has been so long since alec drank the love potion ... doesnt love potion usually last for a few days or weeks and then the person return to normality??
I also think the fl og doesnt have any feelings towards alec and she gives me the vibe that she knows about alec and mc AND support them
