This is kinda overpowered done right, it doesn't feel boring to read even if the mc is super strong than most--though its still standoffish at some parts
The story is fleshed out for the most part, this is not your usual reincarnation story wherein the author follows or copies a trending reincarnation plot. But because I'm a rather negative (self-proclaimed critic) reviewer, I'm gonna say something bad >:).
The romance in this manhwa seems so forced, It is like it wants to be slow-burn but it burns so fast at the same time. During the scene in which the heroine says "not being to fully trust the captain" feels so shallow. while, yes, it is indicated that she had interest in having him as her ally, It did not have that "romantic" vibe I was looking for. It inclined more in an "I knew I actually needed you for revenge" manner. Also the random hand-holding really threw me off, yes I do understand that he is most definitely the male lead, but their romance story is still not as fleshed out as the other aspect of the plot. They did not indicated that he was falling for her, and if there were, then it was so subtle that when the time came that the author finally showed them being "in-love", it felt off-putting. As I said, this gave it a sense of being quite rushed.
Additionally, I did not like that the second prince started seeing her as a love interest when in the previous chapter, he saw her more so as a sister-figure. As I said before, it was not indicated in the slightest that he "fell in love" with the heroine (and that time when he saw her with the captain just made me repulse <3). Once again, it felt rushed and made their relationship rather unpleasant. Instead of feeling sadness for him, it felt weird.
(I would like to also shortly add the part wherein coco just suddenly showed up at the first contest when the heroine quite literally said coco was "not going", weird plot inconsistency)
Anyways, overall this story is very good, it just that the romance aspect of the story is rather nonsensical and is very off-putting. I still recommend reading this, because it excels on every other aspects. (weird that I'm still recommending this after trashtalking but this is one of the better shoujo manhwa in here so ye)

I heavily agree. I liked it when she was appreciative towards him, but not in the romantic sense. After all, they barely knew each other in any of her lives. She has much more believable chemistry with Coco or even Alexa. I was so glad when they made a deal to help each other inside the carriage because it felt more like a strong partnership, than budding romance. I wouldn't mind if they actually do end up together because I do also like their bond. I just wish Julia's hardened resolve (particularly in the romance department) was more prominent and maybe resolved in a much, much slower believable way.

theyre only human and can do so much within limited time, i prefer getting update with break in between as long as my fav artist as healthy, think its just like wine, waiting makes it exciting, u can read any other books while waiting for this to update.
usually mangaka had very little sleep only 3 to 5 hours and theyre never ending works. they need to discuss the draft, panel, sketch, inking and even draw next episodes, even if we only read one panel in sec, it took long time to make it. its understandable to have breaks every now and then we read this here ilegally, so we dont contribute any profit to the artist hardwork. i hope u learn to be mindful to comment, as these art took alot hardwork and energy, u can write nice encouraging comment instead, or if u dont, please dont leash out in public and keep it to yourself
