Okay so I read the whole thing again after 2 years since I first completed reading it fully. I remember how disappointed I felt with the ending back then. But honestly now it doesn't seem bad at all. It's like that corny saying that "sometimes some things are better left unknown" the story is complete though. It was about kurose helping shirotani with his mysophobia and that's what they accomplished. The rest of it is just them being a couple. Ik people wanted to see how far they go or what shirotani was gonna write but it'll be like extras to the main story. Yeah sure the ending felt kinda rushed but the author made it more like "I'll leave it to your imagination" and that's okay with me.
I also re-read it again, and when reading it as it came out i was dissatisfied with the ending, but now, after binge reading it I really like the ending.

No they never showed it fully !! And I think it was controversial because tattoos in Japan are seen as taboo and since his dad was a yakuza the old man prob thought it was a sign of a curse.
