I thought I'd be so hurt and it'd be hard reading this seeing the king get married and have concubines while Paul continues to do her thing even after he has feelings for her. But then the most unexpected thing happened. I fell in love with the conubines and their pure and caring friendship for each other. Even when rebecka had a child I was scared about me feeling bad cause hmhm but no, I felt elated that they were on such good terms with each other that instead of coming to resent them for coming in the way of my otp, I loved them so much so that it hurt to see them disband because of the unfortunate events. I love them like I love Paulina and Lucius. Also, I was very hopeful against my proper judgement about Paul and the sneke guy becoming a thing because he was so adorably pudgy just so different but well. He was an asshole. And somehow, even after I gave up hope for my otp, the author still managed to get them close in a way I WANT THEM TO LIKE???? THIS IS ALL I COULD ASK FOR AND MORE????
