At first I was okay with Jumi x Hee Bum ship since I was also not very convinced with Yoo Won's love for him, but now I feel like an ending where they end up together without clearing the misunderstandings would be really unsatisfactory.
I see a lot of people complaining about HB's actions in these last chapters and even hating him for breaking up with YW, but I feel like none of you guys are actually putting in his shoes. First of all I'm not justifying what he did (kissing Jumi) that was VERY selfish of him, but I'm talking about the breaking up and the "try to forget about my last love with a new one". For what I understood, he feels like he's the only one who's truly in love in the relationship with YW, he knows he's not the most important person to him (his mother is), and I think he undestands that even though YW is the most important thing to HB. But the fact that YW broke up with him at the beginning of the story and tried to lose all contact with him even when HB tried to fix things up really affected him.
HB is a lonesome person, he has no friends (I'm talking about before-Jumi), he doesn't get along with his parents (we still have to learn more about his family situation, but I think he's an illegitimate son or something of the sort), his father even hits him. His (now past) relationship is a secret, but everyone that suspects about them is clearly against it, Eldo for example, who also calls him names and undoubtedly hates him (I actually think Si Won might have something to do with this too, don't get me wrong I really think he's a nice guy, but I'm suspecting that there must be a real REASON for HB to dislike him and even having him in his phone as "Don't answer 3"). He doesn't care about school, his life kind of sucks a little.
The only thing he really cares about is YW. And he fought for it, when his father knew about their relationship he tried to get away by lying to him. But then again, suddenly YW tries to cut all ties with him, giving away something precious HB gave to him as a present and getting angry by him just trying to talk.
And then he meets Jumi, and Jumi is so great, he gets along with her, she is on his side. She even SAID so, and it's probably the first freaking time someone is like that to him. She even got hurt for him when Eldo was going to hit him and still told her to apologize to only HIM. Not only that but Jumi likes him, she said so herself when she thought he wasn't listening.
He got back with YW but then again it feels weird, because if he was thrown away once, why couldn't it happen again? So he makes the promise. But I think he doesn't really trust him anymore anyway. They go to visit YW's mother and he sees how nice his mother is, how she gets so along with her son and how he introduces Jumi as his girlfriend. And it probably fucking sucks for HB, since his father is exactly the contrary, he's terrible, they don't get along AT ALL and he DOES know about HB and YW and HB got hit for it.
And now Jumi is trying to put some distance between them, the only person he feels is really on his side, the person who really loves him and cares for him wants to get away from him too. And it was his fault, he told her so because he knows she likes him.
Now Eldo makes another freaking appearance and talks to her parents so they will tell his father that he's with YW again, resulting in him getting angry and saying he's sending HB to America, welp.
I think all of this culminated in breaking up with YW again. He got fed up with everything, and it also was like making a choice. It was Jumi or YW this time.
YW= Problems with his father, feeling unloved, getting hate by YW stalker(s), the possibility to be thrown away again.
But HB loves him.
Jumi= Feeling loved, she cares for him, she defends him, no problems, just daily life, laughing and having fun.
But does HB love-love her? In a romantic sense?
He made his choice, and he's trying to transfer his romantic feelings for YW to Jumi. He wanted to see if it could be possible and then he kissed her (I think this was TERRIBLE of him, you don't play with people feelings just to try something boy, you just don't)
Now that my longass character study is done I'm going to rant a little.
At this point I can only hope HB and YW clear the misunderstandings, HB doesn't feel loved, but YW does love him (I wasn't so sure at first but I am now), I think that if HB feels reassured about YW's love for him he can stay strong and carry on (because he did it until now) even if they get hate by stupid people. And how could I not support them seeing how many people are against them? It gets on my nerves when people try to get down a homosexual relationship and they succeed. Am I supposed to be happy with an ending where these people won? Hee Bum's father, Eldo and co who are the closest to a villain we got in this story?
I am no longer shipping (well, i'll see) HB and Jumi. Because even though I love LOVE Jumi and think she deserves everything, I believe what HB really needs is a good friend, someone who will support him and viceversa. A healthy friendship relationship he didn't have until now.
And I'm also not shipping YW and SW just because SW seems like a decent caring friend, wtf people.
Well said. You put my thoughts into words. From what I see, Heebum is trying to love Jumi romantically because he thinks his love with Yoo Won is fruitless. Furthermore, just as you said, Heebum's lack of love in his childhood drives him to feel more insecure about his relationship with Yoo Won. Heebum is afraid that Yoo Won would push him out once again if it is to protect Yoo Won's mom, and he would have no one left in his life if he also cuts off his relationship with Jumi (the hug). Moreover, Heebum knows that Jumi loves him and that their love would easily fit in with the established convention in Korea, thus, making Jumi a more viable option for a partner. By choosing Jumi, Heebum would have no more trouble coming from his family and friends. He would be able to secure a love for his life. He wouldn't have to disrupt Yoo Won's happiness with his mom, who is Yoo Won's most significant and influential person. All is well except that Heebum doesn't realize how much Yoo Won loves him. （/TДT)/
If the end game is Jumi x Heebum, then I seriously don't understand the point of all these Heebum and Yoo Won's dramas.

I'm so glad someone shares my thoughts! And yes, YES to everything you said, this is exactly what I think. A relationship with Jumi would be the end to a lot of hardships he's being through, but what is the point if the story ends up that way? Like I understand they could develop a romantic relationship in a natural way... but storywise, that's just... I don't know, it would be just sad. As a reader I'd be really unsatisfied knowing that these two people who loved each other couldn't be together because people and society got in their way. I mean... I guess it's realistic, but it just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
So true everything that you said I only hope for WY and HB to clear all misunderstandings, I don't think they have to come back because they're in different grounds in this relationship and it's not fair to HB being the only one that suffers always wondering when YW will break again with him
"Why do you want to date me" oh my god, I never would have thought so because he's so sassy but does Hee Bum actually have low self-esteem? I started suspecting it because he was really happy (in his own way) and incredulous when Yoo Won said he was fun but this kind of confirms it.... it's just... another thing to add to my huge list of reasons why I want to give him a BIG hug... my precious bby ;;
