I don't understand why you're so against this. Their love make sense. They care for each other and understand each other more than anyone. They are just 2 very lonely people meet and fell deeply in love with each other. They are each other center of universe, you can’t help whom you fall in love with. When u r in love nothing matter anymore, at least we all know they didn’t go all the way because Haru want to wait and make triple sure this relationship is what Ren truly want. Haru already know what he really want, he want to be lover with Ren but if that not possible then he want to stay as brother/family. This just show how much Haru care about Ren and their relationship, at the end Haru want them to stay together no matter which ways or froms.
