The mistranslation is kinda everywhere. I noticed some parts were translated from Spanish and as they used Google Translator it was a mess. In Spanish they wrote nazir instead of nariz and of Google didn't translate that. The thought is what counts but using Google is not right because it makes everyone confused. I hope someone can retranslate these chapters because the cuteness of this mangwha is killing me!

One of the tags is "unrequited love". Unrequited love, my ass! What love? This is rape! " It's fiction not real people", thank you Sherlock, I hadn't noted that. e.e
I know it's fiction, the thing is that it is wrong to portray rape like this because even though we know it's fantasy and one of the most terrible things that can happen to a person, maybe there's someone out there who thinks: "oh, this is so cute! I wish that could happen to me" just because the "romance" air and stuff.
"You're overreacting, you're crazy," crazy? You don't know how delusional one person can get after reading only a type of fiction. That's why it's wrong, because people might take it or might want to take it to reality because "it's so cute!" (Whrn it's not) and that's not right.
We're all pervs and whatnot but for me this is different, now it is, after reading a bunch of rape stories and have someone pretty close to me to be a victim of that shit. That shit you call cute and romantic, when the guy rapes someone who's under the influence of alcohol and sleeping. So F off.
Hello hands down.

Actually, if anyone thinks that this is "romantic"? or "cute", and wants it to happen to them, is straight up retarded.
I think lot of us knows that this isn't real, I usually like the stories with rape in it (but they are much more mature stories), but this one was just straight up boring, and it's so clear, that the mangaka doesn't know anything about biology. (first and most important rule: you DON'T show up anything into the ass, if it isn't much wider at the end, to prevent it from getting stuck inside) I know it's just a one shot but man, the quality is dropping, I used to enjoy them xd (or just I became more picky)

The reason why kids shouldn't read things like this. This is for adults enjoyment. However we are not their mothers.
Also, check this last page. Even though his mouth is denying it , he's really not as averse to what happened as everyone insists him to be http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/saitou_kun_to_190_cm_no_otoko_2/uu/saitou_kun_to_190_cm_no_otoko_2-chapter-1/20/ (actually got touched to be called by his first name intimately...)
I agree with the unrequited love tho. That tag is out of place. Thankfully it's not a top tag.

Im totally with you on this one. I know people usually say excuses like "this is yaoi, and there is plenty of rape in yaoi, and why are you here in the first place if you don't want to read rape?" Knowing the background that yaoi emerged as a form of literature, I've never complained when I saw rape being normalized in older yaois (Mind you, I've read around 2000). However, yaois came a long way and the type of audience also changed with the number. So if the upcoming authors/ newly-released mangas also showcases the same old thing, they deserve our backlash. It's about time they move away from that trend don't you think?

I'm a witness on the evolution and trends in bl being a fujoshi aunty. In Japan, fujoshis are familiar with their tropes. If we are talking about trends, what changed in is bl it got less psychological with more happy endings. IDK about the western or "modern" sensibilities but that doesn't necessarily translate to Asia especially to a formerly closed-country Japan

Well, and it is like everyone in the fucking bar let it happen by letting that pushy seme take the OBVIOUSLY drunken uke WHO LOUDLY REFUSED THE SEME, out of the bar! That is what really gets me. Usually if there is rape, I can suspend my disbelief if it is unrealistic or if realistically portrayed, I give them credit if handled appropriately. But this is just too stupidly done all the way around.

I am not that against rape in a manga mainly because reality has nothing to do with this crap. No rape victim will start to feel it if the rapist is "good" in the action, or because he touched the victim in a nice spot. That is bullshit. So it does not feel like at all like actual rape. But the absurpt story lines and the low quality repeatition makes me bored. There are so many yaoi with that kind of rape that it's ridiculous. Mostly what gets on my nerves are people saying "if you do not like rape go read other type of mangas, you do not belong to the yaoi world, yaoi is porn, blah, blah". They think yaoi is equal to rape or porn and not with bl. This is stupid. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you cannot say to people what to do. Moreover there are many yaoi without rape or porn and many seinen and josei with rape and porn. As for the delusional people unfortunately they are everywhere. They watch superman and fly out of the window, thay see a serial killer who looks "cute" and they send him love letters...if we start to censor everything it will never end.

I hope you do realie that there are people with an actual rape fetish, right? :'D
And there are people who have an actual working brain and can tell the difference between fiction happening and reality. Having a kink in fiction does not mean people like it in real life as well, this 'Non-consensual sex turning into the partner liking it' is one of them. If someone is actually retarded enough to hope for this in real life, they are either kinky as hell in that way and/or likely have a few screws loose.
To each their own.
And as Ι_read_everything!damn-it! said, if the victim is actually disgusted by what is happening, their reaction will be entirely different from what was portrayed in this work (and most others), that is the main reason why rape or 'rape' is alright for many in manga. It is clearly shown that what is happening is enjoyed by the characters, which takes away the uncomfortable or disgusting feeling while reading. And I have seen many, MANY rape involving plots in my past 11 years in manga/anime.
I am not desensitized, I still get easily uncomfortable or disgusted, but this is really not one of those works. It's at the far bottom of the list, really.

You obviously haven't been paying attention in class about the human body. Many rape victims feel ashamed more so because their bodies reacted in a certain way opposite to how they felt. Especially males and having their prostate massaged. If you're going to start off with those first sentences maybe you should do some additional reading/research besides basing your knowledge on what you think a rape victim will react like or feel during being raped on mangas.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/5f/u70082_50x50.jpg?2)
Exactly.
On top of that people really need to pay attention to the facial expression of the people involved. Mangaka WILL draw expressions showing displeasure, discomfort or even fear in the scenes IF the victim really is entirely against it. (Unless it's pure smut in genre, then you basically get instant horny reactions by anything said or done.)
Those seem to be things that people easily ignore or just overlook. It changes the situation quite a bit however. And then there is inner monologue of the victim clearly stating that they enjoy it from a to z (which is also ignored in the majority of all cases).

Duh! Of course I know there are millions of fetish, including rape, who doesn't known that? A virgin maybe. I am not against mangakas creating their plots and whatnot, you yourself are saying exactly what I don't like: they enjoy it in the middle of it. Romanticing rape is not OK, that's my opinion. Most of us are adults and know perfectly well this is fiction but even though it reaches people's minds and hearts. How many times have you cried because of a sad ending? Or get furious when a character is a total asshole? That's the same, people may start thinking, not everyone but some, that rape is like in fictional works and not like in the news and stuff. Oh, I've been reading manga for almost 13 years now, and just as someone else says: it's tiring the same topic, no evolution and the same twisted thingie being romanticed because, oh, the seme is good at fucking and the uke was enjoying in the middle of it, so it's OK.
Well... no.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/8a/u221707_50x50.jpg?2)
When we censor something we are practically telling people to go and look for it until they watch it. lol
Not censor but stop romanticing rape. It is not cute, you're not gonna feel good and unless you suffer from a terrible case of Stockholm Syndrome, you are not gonna fall in love with your rapist/kidnapper.

Very well said @R0se. The point I wanted to make is the same- "Romanticizing rape is not ok." I've read a lot of comments by Takame too and I know she is very smart and wanted to get into the conversation with her and you. I agree with Takame that the plots in Yaoi hasn't improved over the years, and I think that is why me and Rose keep saying we should speak up and state our strong opinions, in the hope it will change in future. I don't agree with the notion that only the editors and publishing companies are involved in creating literature. I think, readers and translators can have a huge say in how things should go in future. When I said, in my previous comment, "yaois came a long way", what I meant is the evolution of acceptance of yaoi as a from of literature and the type of audience who read them. I'll give one personal example- last June when I was traveling from Sapporo to Tokyo, I bought a yaoi manga from the JR station and the sales person smiled and asked me if the story is interesting. I was taken aback because 5 years ago, if bought the same manga, I'd only have gotten a disapproved look (the best case scenario). Then I came to realize, "hey not only people don't look down on us as much, also the manage are displayed on front isles these days." And not many are trying to hide the fact that they enjoy yaoi either (including in japan). If the number of audience increased and the demography of the audience have changed, why can't the merging managakas put some effort into redefining the content too???? There is another thing called "Desensitization". One you repeatedly see and read the same thing, it eventually becomes a normal occurrence. Don't give too much credit to the human brain and false believe that it can seperate fiction with real life. You don't have to take my word, just read the thousands of articles on neurobiology, neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, media and psychology etc. AND Ι_read_everything!damn-it!- I think you yourself answered why some things should be censored, thought you claim there will be no ending :) Want to add one more thing- It's not only the delusional people who follow what's shown on TV. Mainly kinds and teenagers learn from the media and think it's true. Do people even know how many gay men take reference from yaoi mangas for relationship clues?! As a teenager, I was able to learn a lot about gay sex from the guys around me, but not about the romantic aspect of it. Many guys, including gays like me don't talk about it as much as you'd believe. So the younger ones do believe if you push the uke a bit, he will say yes eventually. It's like many straight men believing when a girl says no, she actually means yes- what a load of crap.
![](https://pic1.mangapicgallery.com/r/avatar/94/u238576_50x50.jpg?2)
I understand what you mean, but i think it depends according your point of view. Some see romanticing rape because the victim says no and the rapist continues, and others see rough sex because one person is pinned down but seems to enjoy it. Rape or not, reality or finction, i personally....got bored by the same storyline. At some point all new updates were exactly the same. I just need something else; something new, or something old but present it in a different way. Anyway some mangas that i find great/good contain rape scenes like saezuru, hidoku shinaide or gift, etc, but most of the mangas with the meet-rape-love are crap.
I have more questions than reasons to be happy about that "ending".
