Yep, we've definitely seen this with some of the side characters. (Okay, well, nothing has been confirmed but I'm hoping/my shipping instincts are tingling between a certain mage and a group leader who used to not get along. Emitting details and names to not spoil things to those who aren't caught up.)

Tbh I doubt we'll get anything with MC, unless there was a special female character mentioned at the beginning who could hold deeper meaning (I don't remember and am too lazy to check) later in the story. Either way, if we get anything, it's likely much later in the story.

As a side note to shipping (spoilers ahead), my senses are tingling slightly for the potential of Damien x Evangeline lol. I mean, they're the same age, they've had some fun interactions, it could happen. I'm not placing high hopes on it nor expecting much, but I can def see it happening as they grow up into their late teens and early 20s ╮(￣▽￣)╭

When I read people asking about romance or harem I assume it's in regards to the MC. Literally everyone here hoping for that one ship you're talking about to sail because it's so damn cute and, like you said, very background and not a main part of the story!

Absolutely would have never imagined Ev × Damien, that's so random haha. Would definitely be an interesting turn of events, but I wouldn't count on it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Oh yeah, I'm not counting on it, it's just a thought that's occured to me a few times that i can see being possible in the way way future - I def couldn't see it happening right now, especially since Ev's more focused on training with Lucas, understandably so (￣∇￣")

I am a shipper/romance lover at heart and, likely thanks to actively reading romance for over a decade, I've noticed I can make fairly accurate guesses for what pairings may or may not happen in stories, no matter if the story is romance or not :")
Of course, it's not always accurate, so I usually just keep things to my own amusement and casually keep it in mind to see if things develop that way. In the end, it's all about those interactions and dynamics what interest me, and those are possible without romance as well ╮(￣▽￣)╭ which is why I'd love it even if they just become really close friends/comrades and get to have more interactions.

I've read the novel up to chapter 400 or so and there is one couple with side characters and a romantic interest for mc got introduced pretty soon after this arc with vampires. I didn't finish reading yet, but it is heavily implied that mc will end up in a relationship.

Yeah! It is not rushed at all, without major spoiling - mc will handle the situation pretty well imo and he finds out what happened to him before they get actual relationship development (⌒▽⌒)
