It’s not wrong for Hyesung to choose his education over going on tour with Dojin. There’s literally an arc about how he missed out on getting a good education and is making it up for now bc he has the opportunity to. At the end of the day, it’s blatantly clear that Dojin is aware that Hyesung loves him.
(Also all the ppl in the comments saying they don’t like the main couple should just stop reading this manhwa. Why read it just to complain?)
Tbh, I'm mostly reading it for the side couples which I really love! And I'd probably love and forget everything I didn't like about the main couple if the issue with Hyesung's actions was addressed. I 100% understand him choosing his education over going on tour and I support his dedication to catching up on what he missed but... I just can't seem to be able to see him being in love with Dojin? Sure Dojin doesn't seem to question that fact but as a reader I do, because even when we see Hyesung's thoughts, it's not at all "romantic" and he just seems annoyed with Dojin most of the time, or if he is not, it's because he is having sexual thoughts about him... That's my only issue, and I would love nothing more to be proven wrong by the author, but for now... Idk, I just feel bad for Dojin lol (not trying to start an argument here, just trying to explain why some of us are still here despite our complaints)
I think it’s entirely subjective and dependent on how each one of us interprets the relationship between the two. To me, Hyesung is the very typical tsundere character since the very beginning of the manhwa. The relationship between Dojin and Hyesung has always been rushed, problematic and overall very chaotic. I personally quite like the dynamic between them, I can connect with Hyesung a lot. I admit that he lacks the verbal aspect of love that is common within many of the stories we read (even among the all the couples in this story). I can understand your frustration about his lack of “lovey dovey” thoughts, but I also think Hyesung has shown on multiple occasions that he does in fact love Dojin and the relationship they have. If there are future side chapters that addresses the hesitance (??) behind Hyesung’s admittance of loving Dojin, I’d happily read through that too. I also think ppl are free to dislike the main couple, however, I can’t help but feel stumped when I finish reading a chapter and all I can see are an influx of negative comments about the main couple. Ppl have been saying that Hyesung is annoying since the beginning chapters so it’s nothing new, but still a little frustrating for me bc I just want to talk to someone about the main couple without them being hated on :( (idk if I’m making any sense tbh, but hopefully u get what I mean)
Thanks for giving your perspective and remaining civil about it, it means a lot !!
Say it louder for the ones in the back pleaseeee! Some people don’t understand that someone who had an upbringing as harsh as Hyesung can have a hard time expressing themselves especially when it comes to love. So it’s unfair to keep repeating that “he’s annoying” or “he really doesn’t love dojin and they should’ve divorced long ago” or “he’s only ever after sex or money” when the same people saying that won’t even take a second to understand his character. I admit his personality leaves much to be desired on many instances but that’s what makes their dynamic interesting. Not every couple has to be in the puppy love phase and that’s okay!
Don't worry I completely understand feeling sad when you see that a manga you really love is filled with complaints in the comment, and I usually love relationships where it's not all lovey-dovey (I actually don't really love lovey-dovey couple, give me the angst lmao), and one of my favorite BL manga is Koisuru Bokun (which is another manga in which the comment is often filled with angry people lol) and I don't know if you know this story but their relationship is also full of "arguments" with the uke who has a hard time with accepting his feelings (both to himself and to his lover), but I don't know in that manga I can still clearly feel that they absolutely love each other, whereas in this one I have no doubt for Dojin but I often feel as if Hyesung is only staying with him because he has no choice? I think it might be because a lot of the chapters with them end/start with them having sex so I feel that they are lacking development in other areas... But yeah, I guess we all have different tastes and I'm pretty sure in the author's mind, they both love each other, I just wished I could see it more clearly (/TДT)/
I can understand what you’re saying. I think it’s bc Dojin is clearly a very affectionate lover and ppl can become upset that Hyesung doesn’t reciprocate this, and even worse, seems to dislike him actually. To me, Hyesung has confessed to Dojin already and that’s already enough. I’ll have to check out Koisuru Bokun as well, never heard of it but it sounds just like my type of drama filled manga so thank you for the recommendation (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I’ve read this so many times and it’s still enjoyable !! Srsly the best manhwa to read for fluff and happiness. The characters and plot is just too good and memorable ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
