Subin is just an insecured little kid. You have to understand this is the first time he is in a relationship. Hyunwoo is right, Subin running away and at the same time wanting Hyunwoo to chase after him. But at this point I think Subin really has bitten off more than he can chew. Btw I don't see Hyunwoo in the plot right now. The title "Hate Mate" could mean Subin & Hyunwoo in the first season and also mean Subin & Hyung in the second season. Hyunwoo is just a third wheel in second season just like how Hyung was a third wheel in first season.
Hyung is not 100% faultless, people. Yes he is a nice guy, BUT HE KNEW SUBIN WAS IN LOVE WITH HYUNWOO FOR YEARS AND DESPITE OF THAT HE WENT FOR HIM. So he has to be prepared for Subin's wavering etc. If Subin immediately love him next day they dating, it's unrealistic and showing how superficial his 5-year old love is. Subin is trying his best to love him. So let him take his time.

in what case does subin show his love for hyung? All that subin has been doing is bitching around how a straight person didn't love him, and how he still is in love with hyunwoo despite being with hyung and leeching off hyung's house, that includes food, a roof on his head, transportation. Don't forget subin still does not hold any job and did told hyung that he'll go buy a house. Guess what, subin isn't faultless too, HE LEGIT TRIED SO HARD TO MAKE HYUNWOO GAY, DESPITE HYUNWOO REJECTING HIM MULTIPLE TIMES. That's not his fault. Dating Subin despite of knowing he had 5-year-old unrequited love is his fault. Hyung even said to Subin, 'you suffered enough, you deserve to be happy (he meant with himself)'. Hyung cannot expect Subin can forget Hyunwoo overnight.
You missed too many points here. I never said Subin is an innocent snowflake. I just point out how many people blame Subin as if like Hyung didn't have freewill and blameless af. Hyung made a choice he knew it was dangerous. As I said give Subin some time. He is trying. If he still chases after Hyunwoo, he can go back home any time he likes and leave Hyung. But he knows he IS DATING SOMEONE ELSE. He has his 5-year-old unrequited love loving him back, but he chooses not to leave Hyung. That's a nice attempt of moving on,I think.

Hyung already knew from the beginning in what state Subin was/is in AND he himself said it already but he thought he could turn things around by making Subin fall for him (though it is him who fell)

Yes he's taking his time to move on, but dating someone whom you have no interest with is not a correct way for that.

If I were the mangaka, I'd end this series with Subin end up with Dongjun and Hyung found his happy ending with Hyunwoo. After all the dilemma Hyunwoo had gone through, finally he embraced the world of yaoi together with Hyung. Dongjun still with his harsh and abusive attitude, but I'd add a little of 'dere'ness to make his character similar like every lead in Korean drama series. And as for Heedong, he went back from the army but still couldn't figure out anything because he's so slow. The webtoon ends with these five people meeting in a restaurant (they would be very awkward but thankfully there's a clueless Heedong who'd live up the atmosphere). Noona and his bf turn to hippies. The end.
