I expected a better story from someone who also made The Pawn’s Revenge. Really disappointed…

Yeah now I'm getting curious too since they considered The Pawn's Revenge as a good story, yet we all know TPR also ventured on some really heavy context like prostitution, rape, murder, corruption, and filled with sex scenes (pretty random too sometimes haha). Seungrok and Jeoh's relationship also wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows. It was started on manipulation and continue based on mutual interests. They just happened to genuinely fall for each other lol. I would say this is quite on brand for Evy. It's another story if the comparison is Behind The Desk tho

It wasn't bad but I think it was a little too short for the kind of story it was
I like when psychological/ thriller type bls have a slower development I guess
I feel like there could be a few things going on after this ending, regardless of good or bad
Stories like Ouroboros and unfather have similar plots and situations (with the obsessive love/hate and locking up thing) although Ouroboros is about the healing process, and unfather is about the struggle and how things gets worse but they are longer stories so they allow more development
Them again is just my opinion

I see your point is regarding the shortness and not necessarily the quality of the plot. While length allows a story to develop and conclude, short stories can too, like this one. The objective of short stories is to arrive at a conclusion fast - not always the ending most readers prefer. They cut out the fluff, speed up the plot and conclude. That's not a bad thing but I get why people will think it's rushed or has an unsatisfactory ending. Most authors can adopt different writing styles as we see with this author and I personally like all their work because their stories always have depth even if short. Then again that's my opinion.
Chemistry is insane omfg
