As the story goes on and on, I feel most of my sympathy going to the emperor. I feel like he so misunderstood and like he has a sad story there. Also the fact that he can't express himself properly must also be difficult. Why is everyone so made at him for saying he didnt want them to live? Its not uncommon to have resentment for your rape babies in the begining. He also said it very past tense. It also seems that he got over that resentment by time he named them. It also seems like his deal with the mother kept him away not his hate. Its hard to tell though because we only get bits and pieces.
