I don't know if everyone is about to cry whenever you see the uke, you can tell he suffered a lot just by the death look in his eyes. I can't understand why most of the authors of these type of manhwas like to pair the female protagonist with the crown prince, prince, whatever... I mean, the girls get a new life or another chance to not make the same mistakes, but instead of being with the guys who treat you well and respect you from the start, the author transforms the male protagonist from a pig into a good man, who was serious and cold because he was shy or because he had problems with his family. Most of female protagonists have more serious problems than you (referering to the male protagonist) and they don't treat people as shit.

In this new version, I see Jennette is a kind girl, but she just waits for the uncle to give orders, she is just like a puppet; while Athanasia is constantly giving her best to survive and to be loved, because we can't forget that she was an orphan and that in this life she is being loved

Poor sister!!! This kind of situations in which the woman is always the only one being judge fires me. I know this manga is happening in a time where everything was different, but nowadays it still happens and it makes me really sad to see that they is still people who think like this.
I might say that the story is very sad, they all had dark pasts and they were "forced" to be like they are now. I hope there will be season 2 where all of them can be happy.
So in the emperor in his previous life he couldn't feel pain due to CIPA, but that doesn't mean that he can be such a jerk and bad person. I think he was bad because of the education he was given, like his own son in this new life.
