I read the novel for the same reasons and I don't regret it one second even though it was so hard to find a translation and they are pretty much shit - honestly I just couldn't wait to see the rest of the story so I read it and I'm still as hyped to see the rest of the manhwa even while knowing the story so it may not be as liberating as I thought it would be but in my opinion it was worth it (if you like this kind of story, at least)
