it IS inconsiderate of the girls to ask alex bc hes in a relationship and cant have his own kids, so it does suck and i would be just as panicked as cole
but i think cole has lost a lot of rights in their relationship to really have a say in it

alex isn't perfect, he's also got some flaws. but at the end of the day he's in a manipulative/abusive relationship. he stayed with cole out of love? sure maybe he does love cole, but cole also threatened him and maybe he's still afraid of that hanging on his conscious. if cole doesn't threaten to kill alex, its also thoughts of suicide. why would he want to add to that possibility and break up with cole, if he can just avoid it by staying with him

no matter if alex forgives him, he always brings that shit up too so it makes sense for me to bring it up. even cole brings up those instances in this current chapter because it was A BIG DEAL.
he does have the rights to be upset, but i find it disagreeable for him to act this way when hes done a lot of shit that cant be forgiven , WITH his own body. yes he can cheat bc thats his body, his choice. yes alex asked but it seemed like it was out of consideration, and the way the chapter ended it seemed like he just wanted to really let cole know rather than asking for permission. it was better than going to donate his sperm behind his back.
Asking for permission and informing out of consideration are completely different. Asking is answerable by yes or no. No matter what Cole did and will do, he's bound to say either yes or no, to which Alex did not accept a no. So what was the point of asking to begin with? He should've just informed Cole. But the things happened and will happen doesn't relate to it.
And Cole cheats, considers or actually does it because he can't find confidence in himself or trust in Alex. His insecurities get the best of him. Not saying he is excused to do it because he has issues. But it won't be stopped and will actually get worse because having someone else's kid, albeit donated, will amplify his insecurities. The problem doesn't get eradicated as long as the underlying causes are existing.

The reason Louis can’t remember that he slept with Maetel is because the Duke drugged him. The Dukes always been obsessed with Louis that he drugged his drink and told Louis to wait for him outside and then he was already not sober by that point that he went into Maetel’s carriage. Easily assuming its the date rape drug since Louis has almost no recollection at all.
The Duke captures Louis at some point, Louis tells him hes pregnant and the Duke reveals how angry he is and treats him like hes a whore for being with other men. The Duke was going to pretty much kill Louis’s baby but Maetel makes it in time. The situation confirms to Maetel that he is the babys father. And he pretty much puts Louis on house arrest. Louis thinks its because hes angry with him, but its just because he wants him to rest during his pregnancy
