They're indicative of how many chapters ahead the raws are. Any new placeholder is a new raw chapter. Placeholders started when the site started using(?) bots to I guess scan other sites and download new chapters from them and upload it here. I'm also guessing the bots are the ones with no member mention in the uploads. But there are other members here who despite having people who upload officials, forcibly upload fan translations. By adding a placeholder, the bots won't auto upload a fan translation instead thinking the story is up to date. This helps the officials uploader keep everything neat. I don't understand why people are needlessly complaining when they can just move on if they see a placeholder. You can utilize the Latest section at the top to check. If you all noticed the pattern, you'd have figured PHs out but your brains probably rotted out from the smut. And this might be a pirate site, but there are still rules into running a site a like this. Do you all want anyone to just upload anything? With no order? That's not how it works
