Pretty simple :
Kidnapper Soo Gyum has loved his best friend Do Jin since their school days. So Gyum and Do Jin both had dysfunctional families (bad parenting cases with So Gyum rich kid left alone and Do Jin abused by his father) which is the reason they got close initially. Then Soo Gyum developed unrequited feelings for Do Jin.
Fastforward to the present, they are still friends and Soo Gyum's feelings are stronger than ever while Do Jin remains ignorant. At a get together, Do Jin announces to his friends (Soo Gyum included) a possible relationship with a girl who asked him out. He's not too interested though he finds her cute, and his friends remark that his disinterest in girls made them think he was gay. He then proceeds to get drunk.
Soo Gyum, who usually takes him home when he blacks out from drinking, kidnaps him. We can deduct that it was a spur of the moment stupid decision which was caused by his anxiety from learning about Do Jin's possible relationship and his fear of loosing him.
Once his identity is accidentally revealed, Do Jin is chocked to discover his best friend is his kidnapper (and he's still not aware of Soo Gyum's feelings). He's obviously wary at the beginning, and very mad. However, Soo Gyum treats him with care, complies with his every demand (except letting him go), which confuses him. He finally confronts Soo Gyum who finally makes part of his feelings known to Do Jin.
Seeing as his kidnapper/bff doesn't force him to do anything afterwards and seems remorseful, confused and very caring of him, Do Jin finally relaxes. He remembers that Soo Gyum has always taken care of him (ex: paying for and organising his father's funeral, taking him home when drunk, etc.) so although he's still a bit mad and confused, he trusts Soo Gyum somewhat and most of his negative feelings are gone. Then they play video games, he misses him when he's away, doesn't denounce him when the building's guardian comes knocking and gets worried when Soo Gyum doesn't eat and get sick.

That's where we are right now. Also, it seems that Soo Gyum is pretty much ready to release Do Jin from his internal monologue, and I think Do Jin will forgive him for his very stupid and a bit crazy decision to kidnap him. They most likely will end up together after Soo Gyum releases Do Jin.

The first time I read I also didn't link those details with the fact that Do Jin knows who his kidnapper Soo Gyum is, until we got to the flashback high school memories and the fact that Do Jin's relatives know Soo Gyum. After that I went back to the first chapters to check my guess and confirmed that Soo Gyum was indeed the best friend mentioned at the beginning.
Those types of reads (the psychological webtoons, though this one will most likely evolve into fluffy love story) usually need a second read to understand the clues given to us before we got the whole story, makes things a lot easier to understand.
