
This made me realize that resonance is not the same as being seen. When something resonates with us, we empathize with the characters, settings, and anything else it presents. Being seen however is when the author is the one who empathizes with us. It feels like the author is really out here for us, patting our backs and saying “you’re not alone”. It’s really that powerful.
