the biggest difference is actually in the start:
how and when they meet the father: the first chapter the father sees her has a baby and choke Ariadna, almost kill her has a baby! and he much more an ass at first but get softer much faster since she was a baby, that how it feels like. while Atay (Suddenly Became a Princess One Day) meets the father much later in her life and not growing with him. and he didn't get soft on her so fast like in Ari plot, that important cause it doesn't feel real that someone has fucked up like him that can kill babies suddenly become soft to his girl so fast.
the ages drag: while you can say both of them drag a little of the main girls becoming grown-up girls, I will say for sure that Ari childhood (Daughter of The Emperor) drags soo much until it become a little annoying at some point. you can say it was important, but a lot of the stay and show her in the age of 3 isn't that important to the plot when you really think about it. unlike Ari, Atay age, to my surprise never feel drag out for no good reason. we watch the most important parts of her childhood and that it, at least to me it didn't felt drag out like Ari case.
the personality of the main girls: there is no question that Ari (Daughter of The Emperor) feel much more spoiled and much more arrogant for someone that is old and 20+ and it feels like many times she doesn't act like her real age but act as a real child would. and yeas sometimes it can get annoying, but I don't hate her. on the other hand, Athay never felt like a spoiled brat to me. again I"m talking on how I felt when I read it. Athay just wanted to survive and was so lonely all the time, but she never shows how much she is suffering. and she feels like a real 20+ adult and tries her best despite how hard her father is. I really like how Athay grow in this story while it felt like Ari didn't much growth as a character (Daughter of The Emperor)
to summarize I think Daughter of The Emperor has a lot of peace issues in the way the plot is moving - too slow or too fast. but again I think you should give it a chance and read it yourself, and reach your own conclusions about it. I hope I didn't spoil too much (⌒▽⌒) I hope I help you in some way and I"m sorry about my English by the way.

Same I think all the readers who are starting to like the prince should reread the first few chapters and remember what the prince did to Tia. Tia should have learned from the past. The prince’s actions then were not justified at all. I think the author also forgot how an asshole the prince was in the previous life. Even if it’s a new life, it’s still the same guy who justified treating Tia like trash all for a girl. Just because he didn’t do it in this new life, it doesn’t erase the fact that he is a guy capable of doing that to Tia. Now that Tia isn’t a hopeless romantic for the prince in this current life, the prince also magically becomes a gentleman. The prince’s character is inconsistent haha there isn’t a good character development enough for him to be a worthy ML for Tia.

I also agree with all of y’all! I was hoping Tia would end up with Carsein or be single and inherent her father’s legacy. I was also half heartedly expecting a fourth ML to appear (maybe a neighboring Prince or Duke from another country) but seeing as things are heading towards her being with Ruvelis, I’m just disappointed. In some ways, Tia did change her destiny but we shall see what happens.
