No no the story is interesting, it's just that were given scene after scene without giving us a pause or an explanation
For example usually instead of just introducing the imperial family members in a webtoon the authors will also narrate the state of power+conflict within the imperial family. The story here just jumped into showing us the empress dowager scheming but never really properly introduced us to her, what drives her, and all the context in between.
Even if it's a novel (is it?), it's still bad practice to assume the readers have read the novel and it's okay to jump scenes without giving context. It felt like we're missing a few chapters in between.
Tbh I was quite glad. I mean it’s interesting to read about a character's backstory and their motivations but imma forget them anyways and I understood as much as I needed to for the story to make sense. For me at least it was enough to know that she wants her son on the throne and is plotting something to get the crown prince outta the way for that probably ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Joachim is actually happy to find out Juergen is much serious about their relationship than he had previously thought, and it's not like Juergen is against the idea of breaking up, he just wants to know the truth as to "why" first. I mean, you and your partner should be in this TOGETHER, but Joachim never opened up even when breaking up, I get why Juergen would be a little selfish in this situation.
(Notice that he has trust in Joachim and this relationship that's why he never questioned Joachim even while knowing that he's lying, and considering breaking up as his last straw, he's frustrated Joachim isn't saying anything and is just doing whatever he wants by breaking up. That's why now he's being selfish, because the reason why he wants to break up isn't because he doesn't love him anymore, nor is it because he has another lover, and that's why Juergen refuses to let go. I think in Juergen's perspective, Joachim didn't even consider how he'd feel about breaking up without telling the proper reason, and if Joachim is just going to do whatever he wants, then Juergen thought he'd do whatever he wants as well. Maybe it's immature but love can make u do all sorts of things. However, he said "OTHERWISE i can't let you go" meaning he just wants to hear the REASON from Joachim and which means he's always willing to let go as long as he's given a PROPER reason and not just "Juergen, I'm still in love with you but i need to break up with you. Adios"
But at the same time I understand why Joachim would be reluctant to tell the truth, he doesn't want Juergen involved in whatever shit he's in bcuz he doesn't want him get hurt. (And prior to this, for the yrs that he and Juergen were together he didn't even thought Juergen's serious about him until Juergen showed his possessive side. So he honestly thought he'd be let go easily no strings attached. It never crossed his mind Juergen would care about him to this extent.) Joachim is aware he just needs to tell Juergen that "i might die in my next job, so i'm breaking up with u so i dont hurt u anymore than this" but that's not an easy thing to talk about. Altho he may be being unfair to Juergen, just disappearing like that without telling the truth (in case he dies) but in that situation anyone would be scared, and i think in his perspective "breaking up" is the only thing he can do for Juergen without having to tell the scary truth. I just wanna know how they'd both go about their relationship cuz this is lowkey a mess masked in seggs scenes :")

Although I can't really say anything about that topic if it's mirroring irl situations, but focusing on the author's intention I thought they made it clear that Joachim was enjoying whatever he and Juergen have going on right now. (At least based on the way the author wrote them.) Like he even said at first that he wasn't angry (which would be his first reaction if he really was forced w the s*x) he was just confused.
And even if Juergen feels suspicious for us readers, we don't really know if he actually *is* suspicious (For now). Besides, we don't know the extent of their relationship yet since we haven't seen Juergen's POV so it's too soon to judge him and his actions. I've only analyzed what's currently presented to me so I don't really have to say anything about that...

Sorry but there is something wrong with this story like it feels artificial and did the author wrote this while having writer's block? None of the conversations feels natural, everytime I try to read their convos I felt no emotion, everything feels robotic like the lines were written by an AI (no it's not the translator, cuz then I would've just said it read like google translate but it doesn't read like that at all, the translator did a good job)
Like the whole atmosphere, the story, everything feels superficial, there's not much plot going on, the characters don't feel real because there's literally nothing in them, no discernable personalities. I keep grasping at something this webtoon has to offer, but it's just bland. It's like eating an unseasoned chicken.
The point is, one example of why it feels unnatural is when the FL deliberately went to the shoe shop knowing full well the owner will harrass her. Nobody does that in real life, and it wasn't like getting a shoe is urgent especially since she was already wearing one. It's not like undergarments where you have to keep changing it everyday. Anyways, I stopped at chapter 7 cuz I personally think it's not worth continuing. I hope the author practices characterization and listening to actual irl conversations instead like when with friends. This is a common beginner writer mistake, it would do them well if they interact with more people.

This is why it's so important to remember ch 74, 75 isn't canon, cuz Horus job in the story is to become the key for Seth to heal, to have his character development, and to realize whatever abusive sh1t that green bastard spouted at him isn't true (think of those chapters like a bad ending in a sim game its not the real ending)
And Horus, genuinely just wants to love Seth the right way, he doesn't even ask for it to be reciprocated (the smallest attention from Seth he gets is already enough to make him happy)
And it's interesting how much u can see the disparity between Osiris' "love" and Horus' love, bcuz for Osiris what he did was impose himself on Seth – he controlled every aspect of Seth's life, forced himself on him not only physically but in everything else. As if expecting everything he's done for Seth (which was totally uncalled for) would make Seth fall in love with him. Comparing to Horus who would even go against his nature (he was born to get revenge for Isis) who would even go against the world just to protect the one he loves all the while not expecting Seth to even thank him or look his way. You could choose for yourself as a reader which one harbors true love for Seth (as corny as that sounds but anyways)
I'm excited for season 2, I want the relationship of Horus and Seth to really be build up slowly (since Seth's trauma will take a long time to heal) and since Horus is a patient man without expectations from Seth, he's the perfect man to be with Seth while Seth heals.

S2 is indeed focused on Horus and Seth’s romance! :) I’m excited. Horus is not entirely perfect perfect but he is near perfect, he doesn’t control Seth or is toxic like his father.
Horus obviously doesn’t expect Seth to return anything just because he loves Seth, it’s a very strong and genuine feeling progressing more to romantic love. As you said, he went against his nature, and there have been times Horus defied his mother a bit.
Horus does get happy even with the littlest attention Seth gives. He’s so calm as well and not pushy/forceful. So different from his father in all aspects aside from DNA, but that doesn’t matter since everyone is related regardless lol.

Not everyone understands why Horus does things, both irl and here in fiction, to the point even Seth himself misunderstood Horus' kindness to him. :") (But if you think about how much Horus actually loves Seth, he's actually a pretty simple guy, not at all complicated )
