Transmigrated/reincarnated villainess/otome stories need to retire. It's so painfully tiring to see the genre now. Pretty annoying reading the 'villainess' MC not being villainous and being 'hello I'm borderline Mary Sue' and it's now falling flat with the over-used trope. Something about the genre is just so exhausting to read now.

The type of story where it's like that metaphor of slowly boiling a frog? Start off with cool water and slowly letting it boil and before it realizes, it's too late and he's capoot. Gruesome but it's the only description I can think of. A story like A Link Between Relationships where seme is manipulative and when uke finds out, he doesn't even care too much because by that point he already loves the guy.
Looking for a BL Japanese manga where uke is kind of an airhead. People making fun of him at work to his face doesn't get a rise out of him. He's pretty straightforward too and tends to offend others though he doesn't mean to. Seme is a long-time friend who's in love with him and they start dating when uke casually suggest they start dating.
