Gives very, 'Only Livers Left Alive,' feel to the couple. They seem codependent and highly suicidal.
I suppose this has a lot of NTR as they seem to be on the hunt for unfaithful couples. I wonder if their death rests on them finding a couple who are staunchly loyal to each other and it would somehow - not magically kill them - but give them the resolution to pull the trigger on themselves. Like a bet of some sort.
Interesting but not in the mood for something toxic so might marinate for future reading.
