I find it so funny that the creatures are being deliberately drawn to be cute coz bugs tend to ick people off. Just thinking of the reality for them just adds to the sinister rep of the poison family. Can you imagine 'baby' centipedes as big as medium-sized dogs coming out of their clothes, slithering about. A huge ass creature with a human for a head but trapdoor spider quality body and legs behind.
Nightmare fuel. Notice I didn't include the geckos. I'm an all-around reptile lover (even amphibians) so I don't mind them at all.

So many of their female leads are so self deprecating. Let me be generous then by also pointing out maybe her love language is words of affirmation and he never said enough? Though he did say (more than once I believe) that he was glad he was engaged to her.
Other than that, I thought it was a sweet story.

I know what you mean, sadly I think it's because this is the Japanese ideal, their general society often endorses these outdated "ideal" kind of women there's even a famous nickname for these kind of stereotypes "Yamato Nadeshiko" if you look it up and trace it's history it's pretty disturbing. As cute as it is in a story, in reality women have more character than this and deserve a lot more.

Was the old priest somehow involved in the original story of hiring (bribing) the guy to kill the snake? Makes sense why he's cursed then. They've been luring his reincarnations back haven't they and they're all as greedy as the one that came before. Was it 7 or 9 times a soul is reincarnated? Is the snake planning to haunt them all?

I get the overall meaning and the translators did a good job. Except, it was so disjointed at times. It can't be helped. It's the way Japanese sentences/wording are structured. It was a struggle to go through chapter 6 a bit. The trials and tribulations of translators. RESPECT.
I did get the part about Yutaka feeling more depressed the more he did the Host job though. It was high paying and mainly done so that he could pay for Ren's streams. Now that they're together, at least he doesn't have to do it anymore. Happy for them.
This and Housekeeper in a Dungeon have such a good array of very attractive characters in their arsenal. I am shook.
