Is the 2nd couple here to balance out the exhausting story of the 1st couple? Honestly, I'd rather have the 2nd couple's story, thank you very much.

More like having to use the excuse of being drunk to act out and have the story move forward. I'd rather he be sober and act on it with complete transparency. Coz this? This is like the adult version of what he did in high school. At least, it could be mistaken as such by the other guy.
So far, he's done nothing to prove himself and I understand Miho's reluctance to act on his feelings (besides him having low self-esteem and utter lack of confidence). If I was Miho, I'd see Hiroya's actions as insincere. High-school = kissed Miho coz it felt like the atmosphere called for it; Hiroya pushing to move in with Miho because it was convenient and he took advantage of the opportunity rather than real want to live with him; Now, being drunk and initiating a kiss coz he felt like it.
I don't know how the author will go forward but Hiroya is truly grating on my nerves. Him being used to getting what he wants because of him being popular (as hinted by his co-worker) is showing.
hm, i kinda get what you're saying but i feel like it's a character flaw that fits in with his current personality ? like if he were perfect and sincere with his feelings, there wouldn't be any story to tell. he's kinda too easygoing and flippant, so that's what he needs to work on before they're both on the same wavelength. i guess he'll need to have some realisations before that happens, probably by the next couple of chapters if it follows the usual 5-6 chapter format. so overall i don't really mind this happening, because i feel like the outcome this time will be different- as it usually is with mirrored plot points- and they'll not make the old mistake and not communicate at all.
If people are dropping just coz of hints of romance let them. It's totally bizarre. Coz he's living so far with no regrets. He's not even thinking of romance at all. Whereas you see isekai where female characters are written SO BAD that romance makes it a painful read. The female characters here aren't even that bad.
Also, it's high compliment for the writer if he picks that girl (forgot her name). Coz, like MC, she's addicted to acting. That MC gives her high praise from the success she's had in his previous life and have readers hate on her coz of the ideas of romance kinda sucks.
When you read, don't bother thinking too much. I mean, the princess, in two chapters, has survived an assassination attempt and has been insulted quite seriously and both issues go unpunished. So...yeah. A no brainer read.
My gosh YES! Was thinking the same thing, like everyone was shocked at the ML for grabing the minister but werent wen the misister literally accused the princess for having sexual relation with her knight. Like whaatt (⊙…⊙ )

Rabbit was found in the tower. Unseen is that the rabbit was imprisoned there and inside where he was were skeletons and sir black rabbit with blood all over himself. In short, he's one feral vampire rabbit of some sort. He's not quite helpless but not quite aware of it. Psychotic breaks maybe? Also, tw in last chapter of side story: rape as ML is in a rut (I think). Dubcon for others but definitely rape in last chap.
