Oushi is the perfect example of why I hate tsunderes. Coz that's what he is but less a character trope than a real personality trait. He feels one thing but says another and he comes off really mean. From recollections of his past, there wasn't even a reason for him not to confess to her. He was projecting and never did it show that Yuki hated him.
Ok, his concerns were understandable. Yes, Yuki had to face challenges daily but that didn't equate to her not being able to do things. His way of protecting her was discouraging her from doing anything. It's incredibly disheartening. I'm sure Yuki felt he meant well. That doesn't mean it didn't hurt tho.
Ack it's so easy to hate on Oushi. Especially since him being pushy just as Yuki enters into a healthy relationship is putting me off. It's the Japanese weird tendency to have to voice out their feelings despite the unavailability of the other party is aggravating my nerves. Oushi, child...move on and please, do be more considerate of your words and actions.

But as far as angst meters go... this was tepid coz the conflict was very linear. There didn't seem like there were real stakes as to what was being lost in regards to their relationship. The story wasn't anything new. It's cliche as far as tropes go. But I've seen similar stories that packed a punch like Kowagaranai de, Soba ni Ite or Mou Ichido, Nando Demo. It's a good read I guess but nothing great.
Lil Mo is a beauty. He really is.
