Sorry takiishi looks so cute smiling in that last panel i love when a seemingly standoffish character finally smiles because theyre happy i guess that applies regardless of who it is, i cant wait to see how their fight ends though knowing umemiya and all
And i love the growth we’ve seen in sakura he has truly absorbed the lessons he learnt around him and grown to become a strong person and he’ll become even stronger with everyone with him… past sakura wouldve just been happen for winning against endo because it would mean hes closer to being at the top but now his priorities have changed for the better

Love and hate derricks character because there are moments when you can see hes opening up to the idea of penelope being his sister (or you can argue hes already comes to terms with the idea) but his proud personality doesn’t let him truly speak whats on his mind instead he shows it in subtle and sometimes backhanded ways but hes also easy to sway (as seen by his metre) and that might even be because hes so used to being the oldest son that he tends to resolve things in a calculative manner to get the best possible results but because of that he ends up hurting penelope. and in all honestly penelope isnt your most trusted narrator because she’s gone in with preconceived notions and we only see everything the way she perceives it, so sometimes even when derrick or reynold do something for her she has a tendency to dismiss it and say there mustve been another reason for their metres increasing (ie not seeing her for a while), the idea of them coming to accept her is completely alien
But in the recent chapters its obvious derrick could care for penelope even though hes under a mind spell, though hes not aware of it being cast by yvonne the fact that hes still able to feel concern for penelope could show that he may be able to fight against it and break out of the hold yvonne has on him

he never saw her as a sister, never accepted her as one mind control or not.. however he loves her, just in total denial.. that's why his love gauge color is like that..
tbh im still confused about the colours could you explain it, i just thought it was assigned based on character colour until she explained eckles’ one
