Mentaiko Itto is a manga artist who specializes in drawing gay manga (geikomi) with close to 20 years to his career and is regarded as one of the pillars of Japanese gay manga. The artist debuted in 2005 by self-publishing his manga (doujinshi) before gradually gaining acclaim and becoming a sought after doujinshi artist. His works also served as an introductory to Japanese gay manga for many international readers. Mentaiko Itto now focuses more on drawing illustrations for various LGBTQ+ media in Japan while many of his older works still remain unavailable overseas. Irodori Comics is proud to announce it has licensed the artist's popular Priapus series and plans to publish it under its Irodori Sakura brand. This new localization for the series will feature brand new English translations, fully uncensored panels, and for the first time, fully translated and stylized sound effects made to faithfully emulate the expressiveness of the original manga."
