This is speaking from experience on how my younger sister is the only dark skinned sibling I have when the rest of us are pale (I have a ton of siblings). Besides Brandon transforms and he said before that Olivia married someone “without a face”. He could’ve said that because that what he feels like or he could be saying that because the form he uses is just what he’s comfortable with and not what he was born with. So Brandon’s family could be dark skinned.
