u should broaden ur horizons op at least to age gaps that don’t involve minors. when you get older, people don’t blink when u see a 40 y/o with a 55 but that’s a 15 year diff

I mean once you're a fully grown adult and your brain's fully matured (that can take up to mid to even late twenties for some ppl~) the age gap wouldn't matter as much in terms of the individuals, but I guess at that point it's more about matching up life priorities (in the sense that ppl in different stages of life would want different things for their life atm), shared interests (could also be a generation gap haha) and of course mutual attraction~

ya exactly lol as someone who graduated high school long ago, i sometimes get tired of reading HS BL comics so it's nice to read about older dudes, generation gap between adults like the couple in this story was pretty cute to see

the thing is, like people like me, after puberty and stuff even my own mother told me i should get a mature partner who will most likely be a bit older than me, as a person around my age could not fit me (make me happy) etc.

i love couples like these two. so adorable. imperfect, but beautifully so heh

What I honestly don't understand is why there's so many pairings of adults and minors especially when the age has absolutely nothing to do with the story like they could just as easily be a 35 y/o because the age is only mentioned in name, like ive read books where the minor is literally a worker somewhere but halfway through out of nowhere goes oh btw I'm 15 like like idk if you wanna do school shit or student thing why not just put them in college like come on getting characters to eighteen shouldn't be this hard geez why in the world is it romantic for 35 y/o to be chasing 13 y/os please like genuinely it baffles me how huggeee the age gap is and ppl in the comments calling it cute, it's predatory omfg like authors half the time will draw them looking like adults anyway why can't it just be an adult too then why're y'all so hung up on highschoolers also why is it so normalized that of course this 13 will date this 35y/o office worker like it's no big deal like I've genuinely seen adult characters freak over 2 year age gaps going oh he's just a kid or we come from different generations or senpai is too old or too mature for me but it's perfectly normal when a literal child is with an adult if you wanna make them "mature for their age" just make them bloody eighteen at the very fucking least I assure you ppl in their early twenties even at any other age act just as stupid as any teenager

Okay I'm back because every book I'm reading rn has age gaps with the older parties (late twenties to early thirties) saying their pair who's in their early to mid twenties is too young for them and "rejecting" them (quotes because it's yaoi obviously they end up together later haha) I'm just like but I guess 12 year olds are fine in these other stories huh anyone who's fine with a minor is just a pedo please there's no lack of adults in this world that you'd go oh but my one true love to a literal baby ┗( T﹏T )┛that just means no real adult is gonna wanna mess with your creep show so you're looking for dumb kids to call "mature" and "special" to have your way...
