are they gonna end up switching because if so i wanna drop this now and not waste my time

So because i dont care for this story and dont care to continue it, youve become personally offended because you have the emotional intelligence of a walnut and are now trying to what? own me? prove that me not liking this is some moral failing and your superior because you do? oh this is rich! please keep yapping at me, its been a while since ive lived rent free in an idiot's mind

I didn’t have an attitude. You’re the one out here calling people dumb? Lol. Clearly someone is living in your head rent free so you’re taking it out on me. I asked a very simple question and instead of answering, you deflected and acted like you suddenly cared about the story. I realized this and knew that there was no point asking anything further. I like certain dynamics too but not to the point that I would just drop something that seemed interesting just because one aspect of it didn’t work for me. That was my point.
But be my guest and keep pretending you’re being persecuted on a BL manga lol.

They're a bl fetishizer. End of story lol. I can imagine that they're the kind of person who praises/keeps reading a bl story even tho it's super toxic and the plot's boring just because of the smex scenes. And then dropping stories with good plots just because the smex scenes doesn't fit their standard. Eww

see this is where things get annoying because taesoo did take advantage of yeomin being naive, but he fessed up and was honest with his intentions as soon as yeomin started bringing feelings into it. Any pain yeomin feels after this is entirely his fault. taesoo gave him an out, asked him point blank if he was okay with casual meet ups and yeomin lied saying he was fine with it. As a typical bottom mc, I wasn't really expecting him to be smart and grow a spine but come on dude

true but i think he’s just super lonely so he’s trying to latch on to the one thing that actually being good to him. and he did also tell taesoo that he still liked him so the communication is there at least ( ̄∇ ̄")
tbh i think taesoo actually assumes that yeomin is more naïve than he really is we might be in for kinda a turbulent time

I know what you mean. It's just hard because yeomin's obviously got trauma but he's also proven himself to be very strong and cunning!!! so I do wish he’d stand up for himself now (although I do think we'll get to see him do that later on).
Speaking of turbulent times, I think taesoo's position of power (when it's revealed he's not just a secretary) is going eventually end up being something that saves yeomin, so taesoo's gotta stick around ig

you are actually so right and like the developments will prob change taesoo’s mind anyways so, we just have a little angst and heartache along the way
he’s prob still scared to stand up for himself because taesoo seems like the type to cut him off so he does but i’m ready for yeomin to fully know his worth

I've stuck around cause I can see the vision but the execution is not good. There’s a lot of potential with the plot but its pacing and the way its being told is annoying to follow. I wonder if this author is new and just needs more experience. Also the whole "lost all their memories" trope is annoying enough once but now its happened to him twice?????? why
question before i start reading all 80+ chapters of this. Is the genre actually BL? Does/will the mc actually end up with or start dating another man or is this more a slice of life type of thing? I'm just only interested in this if it's going to have romance but I can't tell from the first few chapters
Well it’s technically a bl since it has side gay couples. We don’t know if mc will end up anyone yet. It’s a comedy read before anything else, maybe just save it until it’s finished and come back and check if he ends up with someone in the future
thank you for the response!! I was confused about the actual plot/genre of this, especially if the mc doesnt currently have any romance pairing. But i guess side couples work too
At this point you may have given this a read, but I'll still reply - who knows, maybe this answer will still be useful to someone ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yes, this still classifies as a BL, although so far it doesn't directly involve the MC - he has no romantic feelings towards anyone. He is but a spectator in a BL world, sometimes giving a push to encourage others' love affairs (although most of the time it's just so he can avoid being set up with a guy himself). If you enjoy reading BL, I think you'll like it! Like the other person said, this is mostly a comedy that parodies the genre, and it's done really well. It's so funny to realise how true these tropes are and to start seeing them everywhere after reading this.
At first, years ago, I started reading the story but stopped for similar concerns as you (plus I felt uncomfortable with the phrasing "turning gay" that was used by the translators in the early chapters, as I find the phrase somewhat homophobic when coming from a non-queer person (or someone who doesn't identify as queer)). Eventually i picked it up again and I've even reread it a couple times - it has become one of my fave mangas out there and i desperately hope for an anime adaptation someway, as even though we have the drama, those get a bit too cringy for me to bear <33
Regarding the homophobic phrasing, I believe it is mostly due to cultural and translation issues, as there isn't really any homophobia present in the fest of the series (at least I can't really think of any rn). Hell, MC gets upset at his college friends not because they're all paired up BL-style, but because he knows he's the only single one in yhe group and can't stand them lying to his face when he knows the truth :'D he's also p chill with his younger brother's bf and it's great to see
