This chapter made me feel slightly disappointed. I love that we finally got to see Hyesung, Dojin and Byul all together but some of the issues got resolved fairly too quickly for my liking. For instance, it's not realistic for Dojin scold Hyesung and Heesoo comedically after all that's happened. I'm disappointed Dojin isn't angrier and especially at Heesoo. And I hope whatever Dojin told Heesoo, we'll get to see it and not left wondering what happened offscreen. Had Dojin not been outside there at the same time as Hyesung, they would have never met, Hyesung would have been gone and that would've been the end. All this behind Dojin's back and of course it's complete betrayal on Heesoo's part. Do not forget Dojin said Heesoo's the only one he can trust a few chapters ago, so it does not make sense if Heesoo gets off lightly. It feels too anticlimactic. With all the angst earlier, this is not how anyone thought the chapter would turn out to be.
Also, how cute Hyesung and Heesoo starting to get along but I hope I'm not the only one who cannot buy their newfound "friendship". It was too quick and there wasn't much build up but this can change when we get to see more of their "friendship". So far, it was abrupt and for Heesoo to go from disliking, to feeling bad and being a bit nice to Hyesung. I can't feel it yet.
Regardless of these things, I still really enjoy this story and I think we will get to see a more emotional chapter next week when Dojin and Hyesung finally gets a 1 on 1 conversation. A chapter full of emotions we thought chapter 38 would be but didn't get. Cheers to more fluffiness coming soon for this little family
I'm hoping the seriousness of the issue gets addressed more later. What Heesoo did was extremely wrong and debilitating to both Hye-sung and Dojin: Hye-sung because he already has so many issues with himself and his family problems, and for Dojin, because the guy said he trusted and he broke his trust. But I still enjoyed it as well.
I mean, does Kouhei have to tell Taichi for him to notice his feelings? Seriously, I would be frustrated if I have to keep telling my partner something is wrong. If you can't notice, that means you're not paying attention to me or this relationship like do you even care? Are you really going out with me? It's not that hard to ask "is everything okay?" once in awhile.
Well said.
Jiwook doesn't deserve any pity. No matter what kind of sob story thrown at me about him I still wouldn't care. It's just sickening thinking of how much pain he caused for Siwon. Jiwook didn't do anything to help Siwon when he was begged. Yet, he had the audacity to say "I nearly lost my brother because of you"? Indeed, he does like to act as the victim. I mean blaming on Joohoon alone as if he didn't do any wrong too is very laughable, Jiwook.
If Hyesung is going to run away again, I do not see the point in why he and Dojin reunited to begin with and for a short while at that. I had hope he wouldn't run again but really, how did this change anything? Hyesung still didn't care. If it was going to be like this, the whole confrontation with Hyesung and Heesoo should've been fleshed out more in a serious atmosphere in later chapters, not earlier which was rushed and brushed off easily. The development from previous chapters were wonky and I wanted to give Fargo the benefit of the doubt that maybe the rest of the series will have a better pace and make up for the shortcomings. My hope is fading and with the series coming to a close really soon, so...yeah. So far we haven't seen Hyesung develop any real romantic feelings for Dojin and it won't be convincing for this progress to happen so soon when we get that happy ending the author says it will have. It's as if Fargo gave up halfway and do not have a clue to tie up these issues or address any other potential plotlines, like there seem to have been an emphasis on Hyesung being good at math and by the look of things, we might not get that either (she might have said on twitter it won't be important to the story IIRC). Which makes me wonder what was the point in showing the readers this? Messy writing and lack of smooth development and transition. Conflicted but we can only wait to see how everything unfolds and solves itself.
