Yeah, there’s like certain arcs that don’t get me as interested, but are still interesting enough to catch my attention, and the next arc usually grabs my full attention anyway lol they know like the perfect timing for stuff, so you don’t lose interest or aren’t frustrated for too long lol
My favourite dynamic is cute younger top but tbh its still hard to find a good one. Reason why? Because the bottoms are still huge pushovers. Now, of course, its better than the classic cutsey wootsey feminine bottoms but even the big boss bottoms you find nowadays just aren't dominant enough! Like, come on!! Idk, tbh I do have strange taste. I know many people didn't like the first arc but I loved it, I think it was a breath of fresh air from the usual BL tropes of being in the POV of a poor frail bottom. Green Eyes was so cute, I'm in love with lively younger tops and he just knew what he wanted straight away and got it. It was so refreshing.
Arc 2... now I'm grateful that Regent Wang isn't cliche and I love his composure and actually really enjoy the new historical setting but his dynamic is just so meh. I'm sick of seeing characters that are so SOOO DENSE! I hate dense characters and I hate the romance dynamic of 'I love you but I can't tell you because I just can't and also you dense as a brick wall'. Like, seriously? It's been used so many times.
I scroll through the millions of novels on this website and it's just the same content with different covers. Be innovative writers! The world of literature is supposed to have infinite possibilities.

This arc is very plain in terms of characters :( barely any drama rn and with the emperor still acting spoiled, I can’t see them as love interests, more like brothers or an uncle and nephew

I get what you mean... honestly most of bl novels are from bottoms POV.. I guess to clarify some dub-con scenes as being actually consensual... (i remember a novel where mc was very happily graped cuz he couldn't go OOC and you only knew he was kinkyly enjoying those situations by his internal monolog and talks with the system. Plot twist: the ml was not into that... but could hear mc thoughts andcouldn't go OOC too) but I love me some novels with top POV... too much bottom mc makes it seem like it's all the same after some time.
1st arc was wonderful. The 2nd... to me will depend on who's bottom. If mc, super meh.. too much clueless bottoms around... but... if the Emperor is the bottom... it will be interesting tho? I think mc kinda noticed but is partly in denial because of indentities and ancient setting. Id like to see how emperor will seduce him... xD
There's a zombie arc? I really liked this concept because of the MC being a system reincarnated. Tbh I'm actually used to this kind of world-hopping trope, I read a bit of the one with the pink hair psychopath guy and I'm a huge fan of 'Cheating men must die'.
So, although the art is definitely the best out of the three. The plot and writing is seriously lacking which is the main deferentiator between a good manhwa and a bad one. Zombie arc does sound interesting though. The way they did it in paink hair guy manga wasn't very good and I really like apocalypses. Is it the next arc? I might skip this current one and wait for that then.

I think its definitely going to be MC as bottom. Although I do agree it would be more interesting if emperor was bottom I like to stay away from younger bottom pairings. I know its not like grooming or whatever blah blah but its treading a line. Also I have very picky taste, I love it when my bottoms are older and more dominant.

I totally get the distaste for younger bottoms. Cuz let's be real... in big part od cases there is grooming involved and we don't like that. That's also part of the reason pov is usually bottoms. Sadly.

Quick transmigration/world hopping is the best genre of the Chinese works to me. Martial arts comes in second. But there's a catch. Their comics sucks big time. Most of them are based on novels and when they get adapted to comics things get bad real fast. The pacing of the plot gets weird, sometimes there's too much text bubbles and the change of scenes feels too brusque and confusing. That happens way less in the novels. And there also the censorship...
Another advantage is the variety of mcs. From bl bottom, top, gl, hetero female mc male mc, with romance without romance and to mc and significant other being always the same souls or really different people... you get everything. Even some of them being the system.
After reading too many ongoing comics and extra long novels... qt/wh is paradise.

Short, slender, weak, innocent looking bottoms and rich powerful cold cof abusive cof tops that end up falling for the toy and pampering them to heaven. Yep. The bread and butter of that genre. The only novel I really like with bottom mc is Quickly Wear The Face Of The Devil. Mc is a gay young man abducted by a Lord God and forced to be the villain in many reincarnations while monitored/controlled by a system. Then after many "lives" he finally manages to hack the system and have free will in these words. Hetting revenge for the bodies he posses, finding love, living a good life and wrecking the plot and lives of the supposed mais characters of those worlds. He is intelligent, cunning and... ahem... true to his desires. I've read it a couple times already... is the one I go to when I get tired of reading everything. It also helps that's completely tranlated to english. I think is a good place to start if you're interested in novels.
