Because I dont get how in the hell this could turn into romance. If taekjoo ends up loving Zhenya after all of this, i’ll seriously think taekjoo is psychologically unstable. I will be absolutely flabbergasted. For the others I could kinda see it. But this… I cannot and will not fathom it.

I think you should marinate it first. You need to trust the process. The novel was very well written for you to understand how it can be considered a romance in the end. Just you know, it really, really, really needs patience cause there's a very long way to go. The romance thingy will still not be shown in S2 but rather in S3. S2 will just some progress and character development of Zhenya and also about Zhenya's past.
You're not meant to accept it, if you don't want to. Tbh, this is a lot more realistic than the other manhwa you listed. Worse things have been done to spies around the world. They go in knowing what might happen to them.
i haven’t read this and i don’t really want to, but when someone says ‘don’t read this. it’s traumatizing and twisted' it just makes me want to see if I should’ve listened and not read it. I dont really know the plot all I know is the jist. I genuinely hope they don’t end up together in the end. I’ll either come out traumatized or just glad to know i read it and got the curiosity over with.

i think that he author is going about it the right way. It’d be more weird if jaekyung went to dan and started acting caring and showing he has feelings for him right away. It would feel forced. Jaekyung is changing in baby steps. First, he saw that when dan left he was angry. Then, he was feeling irritated because he kept thinking about him. He doesn’t know what the feeling he’s feeling is. He misses dan. it’s making him mad because he doesn’t know what he wants from him. So he tries to keep dan close. He is going about it the wrong way but i think 67 is showing another step He is worried and he doesn’t like the just physical relationship anymore and he doesn’t want it to keep going on that way. He doesn’t know his feelings yet.
