FYI, the tupi guarani language is actually from the local natives in South America, specially in Brazil. When the Europeans "discovered" the continent, they thought that they were in India, so the called the natives indians. In portuguese, we have two words for indian though, índio, which is the native Brazilians, and indiano, which is people from India.
Brazil is such a big country, and its History is incredible. I live in the state most to the south, and it got in wars with Argentina, Uruguay and some small villages near. It even got separated from the country for some time. I really recommend to check it out.
