They be acting like its the first toxic yaoi story like...dont they get tired. This is a fiction, dont read it if you dont enjoy it. Spend your time better instead of writing novels about how bad it is. It is getting boring now.

Yeah, I understand. I know it's getting repetitive when I say it's disappointing that abusive alpha tropes seem to be the standard in abo judging from how common it is and many would roll their eyes hearing this statement. But I just really feel like authors greatly limit their potential on what story they can convey when they resort to recycling this type of bl formula ykwim? Like at least introduce something new for a change that subverts the romanticization of abuse.

I think its great the way it is now. There are a lot of different abo stories with healthy dynamics out there. It seems like it is a you problem that you dont read them yet keep coming back for the toxic ones.

I think it's more due to the fact that most stories of these types tend to be more popular. The more we complain and pay attention to it despite it's clearly dark themes, the more it'll get popular due to the fact that it's popular. Meanwhile the actual fluffy ones tend to be overshined by these types of manga due to the fact that we hate it but we still consume and pay attention to it.

Is it really that offensive to criticize the media we consume? It's always bound to happen whether you like it or not especially when it comes to stories that do not tackle sensitive issues with nuance. That's just the way it is.

Oof yeah I get what you mean. It's quite similar to hate-watching phenomenon. Somehow this reminds me of Jinx. It's a trainwreck but that's what made it popular aside from the artstyle. Makes me wonder if the author treats it like social experiment of some sort.

It is porn at its heart. Like we are not bursting an atom, we read it for personal enjoyment. If you dont enjoy this type, there are thousands that would suit your type. Its not that deep. You cannot change someone else's work anyways. Idk why you bother.

If it was a social experiment then it surely succeeded from how popular it had gotten. Like I said, it's also partly the fault of the consumers for still paying attention to it and commenting on it. We made it popular and that's influencing other authors because they want that popularity so they recreate the same themes.

If it was actually a story with some form of plot and not just a dramatized porno then I would understand but this shits just pure porno with plot that only makes way for more sex. Purely just here as jack off material.

The thing is the angst of the manga hits the right spot for me so I enjoyed it. Again, stories with this kind of toxicity are my guilty pleasure. Also I know opinions in this site mean little to the author because obviously a large chunk of us do not pay for the their work and they probably don't even know about this illegal reading site to begin with. However, I'll still share my gripes about the story because it's cathartic and keeps me from getting desensitized to abusive tropes even if they are fictional.
